India stands among the world’s leading producers of key minerals, playing a pivotal role in the global mining landscape. It ranks among the top producers of coal and continues to be the largest producer of mica. India is the second-largest producer of crude steel and aluminium, and the fourth-largest producer of iron ore globally.

The country also holds prominent positions in the production of chromite, manganese ore, and bauxite, reinforcing its strategic importance in the global minerals and metals sector.

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), India’s premier industry association and largest exhibition organizer, is proud to present the 18th edition of the International Mining and Machinery Exhibition (IMME), scheduled from 18 to 21 November 2026 at Science City Exhibition Ground, Kolkata.

IMME 2026 will feature mining machinery, equipment, technology solutions, services, and supplies from India and abroad.
