Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers Association

The Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers Association (ICEMA) is the apex body of India’s Construction Equipment industry, representing leading companies across OEMs, component manufacturers, financiers, and technology providers.

Its members design, build, and support equipment across construction, earthmoving, mining, material handling, concrete, and material processing segments, supporting India’s infrastructure growth.

ICEMA has a legacy of more than 75 years. Constituted in 1949 as Tractor & Allied Equipment Manufacturers and Importers Association Ltd., it later became Indian Earthmoving & Construction Industry Association Ltd. and adopted its current name in 2012.

ICEMA supports and guides the CE industry, engages with government in shaping policy, works toward standards development, creates platforms for knowledge sharing, and interfaces with international counterparts.

The Association works on safety, emission norms, technology adoption, stakeholder engagement, and skilled workforce development for the construction equipment industry.
